TL-SG1016D Power Saving

The TL-SG1016D will regulate power consumption with regard to the link status. For example for ports with network devices that have been power down the switch will reduce the power consumption.

Customarily, shorter cables will consume lower power as compared to longer cables due to power degradation over their length; this is not the case with most networking devices as they tend to use the same amount of power regardless of whether the cable is 10 or 50 metres long. TL-SG1016D automatically analyses the cable length of the Ethernet cable connected and adjusts the power consumption accordingly, instead of keeping a conventional power consumption solution.
